    Thinking of returning

    Hey all!

I have an i90 PLD and WAR and have been out of the game since March or so, and have been flirting with the idea of coming back. I know there is another huge update coming this week, so I am wondering, am I to far behind to try and make a comeback? Is it even worth it?

When I left I no longer had a FC and the Real life friends I had been playing with were taking time away for various reasons. I had a coil static but never completed turn 5 sadly, and only beat Garuda EX.

So, I would have to find a FC to fit into, and start working on catching up on all the changes and story......

    Any ideas?

    Hey Rigor,

I remember seeing you back in the day. It's been awhile anyways. But nah I don't think there is such a thing as too far behind in this game currently. The way that SE is structuring things, there a lot of catch up mechanics. One of them is the fact that they'll be giving Soldiery tomestones out like crazy in the next patch. That means level 100 gear is easily obtainable from there. Also the ilvl 100 gear from ST will not have lockouts meaning boosting yourself up to the tier that most people are at right now won't be much of a challenge.

Catching up on the story and powering through the primals will be your biggest hurdle, but even so that's not a challenge with a good FC or even with party finder. I would say it'll take you about a day or two if you really power through the story to catch up to where we are now. After that, the grindy bits to get Soldiery & Poetics tomestones will be basically where you are. Considering how small the ilvl jumps are (100 -> 120) you're really not falling far behind at all.

Turn 5 isn't that much of a challenge really and can be beaten with a good group especially with Echo now. I would say your chief priority would just be finding a friendly place to fall into. After that I really think you'd be fine getting back into things.

Maybe I'll seeya around Behemoth again. If you have any questions specifically, just ask and I'd be glad to answer =)
