In all honesty it'll probably be F2P once you come back but that might also deter you even more from coming back. No WoW clone/theme park MMO in history aside from WoW, the single exception, has lasted long as P2P after a cash shop was implemented. Even Rift which is an even more straight up copy of WoW, and had an expansion released while it was still P2P, went F2P after a bit more than 2 years. Seeing how ARR also takes a lot of cues from it, I wouldn't be surprised at all if it followed the same path.
