Why do so many people see a need to post in this thread just for the sake of making fun of the OP, bumping the thread in the process? The guy has every right to quit for whatever reason he wants, and if he wants to leave this here as feedback, let him. Some companies tend to care about the reasons they lose some customers over, some care less, but in any case you aren't helping anyone by ridiculing the OP.

One of the main attractions to joining this game was that it was one of the only p2p mmo that did not have a cash shop.

I oppose a cash shops in games that charge a sub fee, there for with the announcement that this game will add a cash shop while still charging us monthly i have decided to cancel my sub.

I am posting this as feedback to SE, should the cash shop be scraped or taken out in the future i will resub. But until then you have lost a customer.

I will not be posting in this thread, people are welcome to discuss whatever they want in it but i will not respond to anyone.

I like how as soon as this was announced everyone came here crying about this game breaking, Cash shop. Did anyone even listen to what they had to say about it? Like, at all?
So Basically, the cash shop won't impede on progress one single bit. It will not be a pay to win. It's simply for those extra cosmetic goodies that you may want to get if you feel it's worth the money. It won't allow the rich to be server firsts for raids, or somehow make them the leader of your FC. So I can't help but laugh at everyone who is literally unsubbing for this little feature. Which is new to me, because I usually won't give two hoots what you decide to do, but Stupid just finds a way to annoy me to no ends.
Even with you Unsubbed, The Cash Shop will still bring in more profits than your monthly subscription. And with you gone, ease up on their data centers, which will push their money even further, providing us with a window for faster and better content. Thankyou for your sacrifice.

If they say that minions in cash shop won't be exclusive, I'm thinking they will do what the persona fighting game does with their DLCs. (You can buy the announcers with money if you don't want to do the hard challenges to unlock them in-game) You have the option to use actual money to buy the minions, but there are ways to get those minions in-game. It'll just be hard to acquire.

All this complaining based on misinformation, assumptions, and fear is getting ridiculous. You can either trust what Yoshi-P has said multiple times now, or you can live as a slave to your own ignorance, but stop trying to drag other players out the door with your bad, misinformed decisions.

Or instead of passing info through twitch they can post an official announcement of everything they have going into the store at this point. It should be first and expansion new should be second. Next alot of people have lived through decade of misinfo from the company. Last time I checked Yoshi is an employ and not an owner. He doesn't get to decide when the servers get shut down.

To the main posters point its fine for someone to say they quit. I have not unsubscribed since 1.0 i just removed my billing info. So does SE ask why you left. Some games like to know.

Given that it is only vanity items, I have no problem with the 'cash shop'. Not that I have any intention of using it either. The OP and anyone else has every right to do what they want with their sub and money, but to quit the game just because this just seems a little... silly, if you ask me.

Considering what he says usually isn't accurate and we've been slammed time and time again by believing what was said...no thanks. I'm not going to put my trust in any dev that adds a cash shop to a subscription model. There is no place for double dipping. And every time they play damage control and tell the playerbase not to worry, they always end up caving at some point to pressure and demands from higher up and add more and more things bit by bit until you suddenly have boosters, cosmetic outfits, pets, mounts, etc and all of the new good stuff comes out in the shop instead of in the game itself.
