    He's mechanical (at least in FFVI) and a defensive summon. Both seem to fit Goblins since they are tinkerers and perhaps less aggressive than other beast tribes. He might require a slight name change though as Golem is already in use in FFXIV.
    That could be cool! Though if he's mechanical I'm not sure how it'd work...

    I think it'd be funny if they summoned Golem and gave him mechanical armor to make him stronger.

    If they believed their god was mechanical, he would appear as a mechanical being when summoned as a primal.

    I guess Shiva was not summoned by "a beast tribe we've never seen before." She is just a saint from Dravanian history!

    Still, I'm curious - do some other creatures we have seen count as Beastmen? I keep bringing up the Spriggans because they are capable of speech.

    The gigas/giants have been speculated by some to be Allagan experiments, according to a thread I read here a little while ago. I like that idea.
