They are not jumping the gun. They are Yoshi's words. They were looking into a solution for the attribute points (SCH and SMN for now) since you now have to gimp one. He then also mention that they might change the whole system.

The classes are a 1.0 remnant. They should just remove it.

The why does Yoshi-P not give DRK a class, like any other Job that we have thus far? It just doesn't make sense, and the only thing that comes to my mind when hearing this is, they " Maybe" getting rid of the class system ( implying).

just a quotet from the person who start this thread, and his info is true and I will not bother to much to looking for a year old info.

Yoshi-P mentioned back in 2.0 the plan for creating Advance Jobs that may require players to first obtain 2 certain Jobs first before they can unlock these Advance Jobs.

Then DRK should be one of the first to get a " Job+Job= DRK" But they flat out said DRK will not have a Prereq ( just get DRK and level it up, no getting Jobs to a certain level).

back then there was a info from Yoshi said that player have to choose between Dark Knight or PLD, but there were voice against that so they ll look into it. But the info are a year old, so thing might change. So the OP was not wrong when say ppl jump the gun, because they are jump the gun atm.

Dark Knight (DK) does not requried class, mean DK can required something else but they will not tell you atm, at the live letter maybe. There was no words about abolish class, IF they abolish class, they will say they abolish class and why, but here there aren't, so don't jump the gun

Yes we need more info. Yes they didn't say "abolish classes", but I feel they are implying it. We will just have to see ( only 5-6 more monthsish till Expansion).
