Hey guys. You might noticed while reading the patch notes for 2.4, that every PVP90 Gear will be freeloot because it no longer is based on your rank. That means you can wear full Ilvl90 PvP Gear while you are only rank 5 for example.

So, that might sounds good, because people can catch up to end game pvp. But, if you think outside the box, this will also inofficial confirm that the Ilvl 100 animal gear will become freeloot in patch 2.5 or 3.0 for everyone, because they will most likely remove the rank 30-40 req from all animal gear then. Just think about how fast you can get the 12.000 (Or even less for other parts) marks to buy a piece of body gear.
And this is something i would not like to see to happen. I would say that 80% of all PVP-Players in Frontlines only play for the animal gear nowadays. So, what would happen if everyone can get thier free pet-gear within some fl games? Right, they will quit fl after idk 10 or 15 games.

Besides the high allagan stuff (Wich will never be free loot, because the content will be always hard), the animal gear is by far the "hardest to get" gear. And in my opinion, nothing should change that. If i can expect to see hundrets to derps running around in Mor Dhona with unique gear wich you (SE) did add to the game to honor addicted pvp players, i would just feel sad, because i knew i did put all my time and effort in this game to obtain it and the guy next to me just got it for free.
I understand that you have to make old content easier to obtain so new players can catch up. Nothing wrong here, but vanity gear should NEVER become free loot in any way.

If this really happens, i wouldnt put my time in ANY other vanity gear anymore, because i can get it half a year later as freeloot.
I just could cancel my sub for half a year and still have the same gear with almost no effort after it.

So the only thing i could think of to prevent this, is to create new Ilvl 100 Stuff for PvP, wich isnt vanity gear. It can be as strong as the animal gear, but without the needed rank.

Long text, but all i want to say is "Please dont let the vanity gear become freeloot". That just sucks and is a slap into the face of everyone who earned it the way it is now.

Meanwhile Square Enix is worrying if the wooden dummy on the wolfs den ship is placed correctly.

The problem with a PvE progression system in PvP is that it will act like a PvE progression system. If SE wants PvP people to stick around then maybe focusing on the core gameplay rather then a set of clothes might be more worth it in the end.

Yeah, the i90 gear becoming the new hand-me-downs is kind of sad. I was looking forward to actually acquiring the rank to equip it. It was a small incentives to reach that rank, those incentives go away though when you start handing it out like chocolate pie.

Sorry to interrupt but what do you mean exactly with "Pet gear"? Or what does it stand for? First I thought you were talking about smn/sch or even a new pet based class ^_^;

Isnt it called pet gear in english?

Ah ok haha. Yeah I knew what you meant as I read through and you are right, it is animal gear. I guess pet-gear suits very well!

This is how you get more people in wolves den. Also by the time animal gear is rankless there will be better gear out for the people who ranks are max. Also there are ilvl110 gear that they need to make room for in 2.4

Sorry but there isn't anything particularly hard about obtaining the i90 animal gear. If you mean time consuming, then yes, it was quite the grind. But I welcome more people to be able to have this pvp set who don't have the time to really put into pvp. I know I worked for it and had it when it was flashy but now people will have it while everyone else is wearing it, lol.

So thing means I can grind PvP seals and look like a lion quicker. Cool.
Still need to grind x amount of seals though.

Long time since I PvP'ed but its like 50k seals for a full outfit if I recall.
Maybe less now, which I think's cool and will defo go back to FL next week once 2.4 try everything craze has slowed down in me.

Wanted to clarify and confirm to everyone about the misinformation. The pvp that is free to players regardless of rank is the i90 pvp set, not the i100.

The i100 set will likely be the same or a lower rank for it's requirement to equip. I took a look at the patch notes again.
