Maybe if the classes have disappeared from the game. A DPS that distributed all his stat points on vitality is pretty sad. So if we have to stay with the SMN / SCH-example.

Fixed it for you because I'm nitpicky, but actually it's a pretty solid idea passed around in tanking circles to spend those stat points on STR rather than VIT anyway, since the extra ~40 vit when you already have close to 600 from items won't help you as much as the extra STR to help you deal more damage and thus generate more threat.
But again that's theorycrafting so yeah.
