Does anyone even use these forums?

All i ever see as recent posts in these forums is FC recruiting or Looking for Static. That isn't even what forums were supposed to be, its just a craigslist and advertising spam. It seems this forum is just the classifieds section of a newspaper, one dimensional

Maybe its just the Diabolos server or the community of players don't enjoy using the forums for game discussion, myself being a part of the community. How come theres no recent threads for Tips on playing classes or where to get cool glamour items on our server.

Its probably just me though because it seems theres very limited interaction on these forums.

On a side note Diabolos was my favorite summon in a final fantasy game thats why I choose this server.

Because it's easier to have a general discussion with the whole of the forums versus the "Diabolos only" section.

Also, that tends to happen with any MMO that server specific forums turn into ads for statics/guilds.

Yea I browsed through other areas of forum, not the diabolos section, alot more players using the forums. Also I did forget this was the internet so troll population is over 9000!

The main forums have what you are looking for... this forum is for bashing noobs who think they are good and laughing at people for getting server first ramuh ex or savage t6 after 2 months.

For me personally I'd love to post more helpful things aside from just FC recruitment and progression related topics, but much like Xion pointed out it's hard to do with so much criticism and trolling. It makes it even worse when a lot of it comes from the most well progressed FCs and LSs on our server because they always have that 1 up on you of "haha I was first you suck" which apparently trumps all logic and reason. It would be awesome if people could manage to be more respectful. I think we'd see an increase in posting and people willing to share their information and opinions.

You can complain all you want about a toxic community but that's just the reality of any competitive environment. When you talk big and brag when you haven't done anything or talk shit and can't back it up... you're gonna get laughed it and made fun of. Its the same in other competitive games, sports, high school, college etc etc. If you want a "non-toxic" community, go join a book club. I don't know about sharing information on the forums but after we beat second coil we shared all of our strategies with those who were polite and asked for it. We spent 3-4 hrs with RFC's raid leader helping him with t9 strats even after they were talking shit during the beginning of progression. Like I've said several times, I will be the first to congratulate or give credit where its due.

(continued) Maybe a personal experience I had will help you Xion... I was struggling with t5 bc my group couldnt dodge divebombs ... I came out of wiping for 3 hrs because of one ps3 player and saw that CCC had just cleared t5. Instead of congratulating them I started talking shit... and of course they started making fun of me and telling me that I should be back in t5 trying to kill that "silly dragon." Well instead of crying about a toxic community I took it upon myself to join CCC group 2 and clear t5 for server 4th a few weeks later. The takeaways are: its competitive gaming... its not supposed to be a "nice community" and if you don't like being trolled... go do something about it in the game so people can't talk shit.
