Do we really suffer such bad latency that we need a more localized server? I know the servers are halfway across the world, but I don't think I have much issue with ping in FF.

If you think you are supposed to pay money for a 140 Ping, yes you dont need servers in europe.

Won't really change much for me. Playing with a ping of around 80 ms with no real latency problems. I wonder where they're planning to locate the servers in Europe.

I get 100ms ping myself from the UK but I know lots of European players that wouldn't be able to play the game without things like battleping as they get 300+

Netherlands, but just like many cities in the UK indeed just a very small amount of hops prior to simply traveling across the ocean.

Ireland here, s'guessin' must be 'bout same ping as 'urself then. And sheesh, crazy that other people so close to us have 300 ms O_O
