OP have you considered how culturally insensitive you are? Your posts elaborating why western culture is superior compared to the 'uncivilized' eastern cultures are outrageous and offending to me.

OP you need to learn how to deal with different cultures. Assimilation through pointing out 'flaws' and expecting people to conform to your expectations is not how to approach an unfamiliar group. I think you should look to how Square Enix does things. I applaud Square Enix for building a game where diversity is celebrated and many different races can coexists with various cultures. Just because we don't understand a practice doesn't mean that we need to ridicule them for it.

In fact, I've specifically considered this a localisation issue when directed at the western audience and I am not proposing the Japanese version of the game be amended. In fact, I offer as an option simple acknowledgement within the flavour text (without taking sides) rather than utter removal. Because we're all better people when we see alternative ways of life. Op, there are many mobs in the game that are killed for only one or two drops, and presumably the rest is left to waste...furthermore, you may have noticed that in most cases, another one appears almost the moment you kill it... clearly the hunters and fishers of Eorzea are doing the environment a favor, as if the wildlife continues to breed at such a rate, it would only be a matter of time before the planet could no longer support it.
