More likely a statuette carved from a Burning Auricle.

Most likely scenario here is the final boss is Bahamut's Heart, which you fight in tandem with Louisoix. Could be a situation where the heart just sits there and throws out aoe pulses (like a heartbeat, lol) and you have to kill it while fending off Louisoix's attacks. Would be cool if you have to do it without killing him or you automatically lose. Lots of interesting possibilities!
