The same thing happened in WoW. Some dataminers found items referring to the final raid boss of the Madness of Deathwing before it was even released. It seriously ruined the surprise when you got to the last boss. I won't say who the final boss was but it is out there if you want to get spoiled.

Yes because it's a total spoiler that the binding coil of BAHAMUT would have something related to BAHAMUT in its final stage.

The raid is about Bahamut? I thought it was about cookie dough.

And I think we're looking at the wrong item. "Rowena's Token (Poetics)" is pretty suspicious. Why has she REALLY been collecting those Allagan tomestones?

The White Raven fragment was a bigger spoiler back around 2.2 as long as you knew a bit about the pre-2.0 story. Anyone who has cleared Turn 5 has seen Bahamut's head... That the gear is called Dreadwyrm and the crafting item is a fragment of his heart (which we also see in the T5 ending CS). Not unusual that the Binding Coil of Bahamut would eventually wind up with Bahamut themed gear/items...
