That can go both ways. If the dev team was responsible they would have fix the join progress feature.Well if people were more responsible with the DF, we wouldn't have this problem now, would we?
But if me and other people in the group are selfish for wanting to, after waiting, complete a duty, progress in relics, or progress in story and are held back by people who either fish for in progress duties or several people in a row suddenly "realizing" they are not ready yet, then I will wear the selfish badge proudly! :3
The dev team could have fixed "many" things, yet here we are.
Omg, I can't believe I miss this amazingly great news on the patch notes! This is awesome!
If you say so lol. Fact is Im a tank fact i dont run dungeons much and when I do if it sucks ill leave. Guess what regardless of what penalty they add Ill just do hunts or leve's so in the end it dosent hurt or bother me but its gonna bother you when players join either go afk or offline to avoid the penalty and you have to kick them and wait.
This new change may seem harsh for those that have busy house lives but, I love this change.
I have seen my roommate spam "withdraw" in duty finder too many times to count, just to get a in-progress run (Does not want to spend time doing the whole duty).
I know they have a in-progress button but, maybe they should add a in-progress only button as well.
Well you won't be. Unless you decided after waiting that excessive amount of time to suddenly withdraw after the duty pops or let the timer runs out.
I think it's funny how many people are getting upset over this new feature. One thing I don't understand is people saying "I don't abuse the DF but what if I miss it three times because I was doing something else?" If you have something else to do shouldn't by all logic do that first?
Why have the posts expressing glee and exultation at a hugely punitive system been upvoted en masse, but perfectly reasonable suggestions like an option to extend the wait timer or a checkbox to allow fishers to ONLY get the in-progress runs they desire have been largely ignored?
There were better ways to solve the issue of withdraw spam. It doesn't matter if people stop "trolling" the queue now...a segment of the player base will be punished for either being lackadaisical about queue pops or preferring to skip the majority of an instance because that's their preferred play style. Why is considering them viewed as "selfish", but caring only about people who want a full run or who never leave their computers while in queue isn't?
Let's be fair here. This is the solution we GOT, as per SquareE, but it's by no means an equal or ideal one. The forums are a place for feedback, so rather than bickering about who is "right" let's come up with more solutions that make everyone happy.
