I said a similar thing about the harshness in another thread. Most people keep overlooking the scenario of withdrawing b/c say a friend or FC member at the last moment asks to jump into the party. In the other thread, most people said I read the patch notes wrong, b/c I commented on a full 24yr content lockout as being harsh. 3 strikes and your locked out content that's been paid and for 24hrs no less? Yeah, I'm sorry. I don't care how annoying ST has been, that's way too crazy. They should just take the withdraw button out.

if i was a healer or tank SURE i might troll duty finder with withdrawing to teach u selfish ppl a lesson
Withdrawing for your own benefit would make you the selfish player, wouldn't it?

my queing goes over 2 hours normally so its even realisticly smart for me to troll it as a dps and i hate the current tanks and healers so ya
The longest average wait time I've experienced was about 18 minutes. I highly doubt you have 2 hour wait times. You're kind of like those customers waiting for service at the jewelry counter in department stores who scream, "I've been waiting 30 minutes for assistance!" when customers have nudged employees and explained, "Psst, they just walked over there a few minutes ago--they're just making a scene!" ...by the way, how is it realistically "smart" for you to troll the duty finder as a DPS again? Pleeease explain!

literly when i que the max amount of dungons i can even do is about 4 a day conting the avarage que as a dps is way over a hour even though it says its 20 mins or less so no but people like you selfish healers and tanks crying about withdraws when u got basicly auto instants in duty
For the record, I've played a DPS class since... 1.0. As I've said before, I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes for the duty finder. And don't you dare only target healers & tanks whining about withdrawls... we are ALL frustrated about it, including DPS.

i live in a studio apartment imaging people in a large house coming up with small issues there room in the top floor and the refridge is the bottom
...And this is important to mention... ...why?

the avarage human has to go to bathroom about 10 times a day some times more or less depending on diet and age based on ur place of living this can cause u to be withdrawn 3 times a day alone
So... living in a "small" studio apartment, the bathroom must be very close to you. Why is that a problem? Solution: GO PISS BEFORE YOU REGISTER FOR DUTY. Fun fact: Coffee and Soda are a diuretic, which means your body is forced to produce urine at a fast rate. Do you drink either of those often? Try changing your eating/drinking habits! It's not hard when other people are relying on you to do your job in-game.

now lets take other things into consideration power outages happan alot in some areas but for most of us we see about 1 maybe 2 a month
So 1 or 2 a month for yourself shouldn't be a problem. Twice this week, we had brief power outages. It happens. What are the chances that the power is going to go out within the 45 seconds that the Duty Finder is ready to commence? And it should take you no more than 5 seconds to commence it. ...So ...really? Your argument is a 5 second window that the power could go out?

now for food and drinks based on the temputre where u living u need to hydrate yourself quit a bit
Uh-huh. You really should stay hydrated.

this isnt a personal issue cuz im in a studio but people in large houses will have issues here a strike can accure
Oh, I see your point now. Well, the solution would be to stop playing the game if you're not feeling well. Right? Am I right? I can just see it now: *Duty Finder pops and begins counting down from 45 seconds* Then suddenly--"Oh! Aaahh! Suddenly I don't feel well" *withdraws from duty* If you aren't feeling well, you should have withdrawn a long time ago, which won't count toward your penalty if the Duty hasn't yet popped.

now for those who accidently knock out there power cord (if ur on labtop or have a pet that plays around you)
Because unplugging your MOBILE laptop suddenly shuts it off since... when? Maybe you should get that looked at.

this issue i have lots those are just some needs and basic things on a daily bases that can easily cause 12 withdraws a day alone
I just solved all 12 withdraws for you, I believe. You can thank me later.

Sorry to feed the troll, I just think feeding trolls is hilarious. =3

By the way, instead of correcting your grammar for you, I'll just tell you that your sin counter for spelling errors is 34, on my count (not including punctuation). WOW. lol.

My boyfriend mentioned this same issue... but once the duty pops, just apologize and say it's too late. If they still want/need to party with you after you're finished, then I would ask if they would like to party together. ^^ Surely they will understand better now that there is a lockout.

Why does this person want to be kicked? Almost always to get an in progress run. And once he's booted, there's now an in progress run for him to join.

That's def an option, but most of the time it's usually always ex roul. After the roul, no one wants to go back in that's already got it done. It's just a way to keep everyone playing together. I understand a lot of people have had their rage moments over waiting 15-30mins PURELY b/c of the withdraw spam, I've done the same. However, I think we're getting a little too ahead of ourselves and forgetting some times where we've had to withdraw more than 3xs due to legitimate reasons.

I truly hope I'm reading this patch note wrong. No matter how trolly those withdraws are, I don't think anything is worth locking people out of content they paid for, for 24hrs. We'll have to see in game though on tues. I feel bad for the first person to test this out lol. I may test it on a throw away alt I have to see the parameters. ^^

Try not to forget that the time of day has a huge impact on queue times as well. When I queued during the day time it was rare that I'd get a queue pop before 20 minutes and typically I'd be waiting 40+ minutes if I took failed queues into account (and usually I'd get an ifrit normal, thx Obama~). During the evenings on peak hours it was much better, rarely more than 20-30 minutes all told. This was also on EU servers if that has an impact.

@Kyousha, actually no I didnt exagerate at all, it all depends at what times you play...congratulations, you think that because it doesnt happen to you the rest of the world is not affected either. Average waiting time for me as a DPS is 1-1h30, 2h was the max I experienced and still experience now and then alas

So once I have registered, according to the new rules, i shouldnt withdraw because you know it is a problem eh ?...not to mention as was said, that I cant join let say a Fate group...why ? because I am already registered.

How more dumb can things go I wonder

I might suggest to you to widen a bit your horizon and not consider that only your experience is a valid one.

I also hope I didnt read that wrong and it only relates to IF the windows shows up and not while no windows shows up and you withdraw before but as I read it and understood it, once you have registered you are stuck. This will also hold back people from registering altogether to DF, which will contribute to increase the problem rather then reduce it

Ohh wait ..how silly of me of course it doesnt happen to you thus it surely never happens

I'm pretty sure the withdraw penalty is only after it pops when ready and not right after you have registered.

yeah I hope you are right, but as I read is not totally how I understood it to be. Becasue, well lets face it, once you register you are in fact in a group...right ? what would it change whether you remove yourself prior any windows popping up or when a windows pop up ? nothing same situation both will require a new search for a new member...so although I hope I am wrong, I think that once you register you are stuck......otherwise it wouldnt make a single sense but ..hey
