I said a similar thing about the harshness in another thread. Most people keep overlooking the scenario of withdrawing b/c say a friend or FC member at the last moment asks to jump into the party.

My boyfriend mentioned this same issue... but once the duty pops, just apologize and say it's too late. If they still want/need to party with you after you're finished, then I would ask if they would like to party together. ^^ Surely they will understand better now that there is a lockout.
