If they won't add curiosity behaviour (walk up to the players) back simply because some players were frustrated of having them caught in AoE in fights, why not make it so they flee once the players enter active mode? That way they will move away from party fighting and have a cute behaviour for other players.
LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$

The loss of Mob behavior AI was a truly Epic Fail.
So far only a few mobs retained their previous behavior like slugs for sure still expel "defensive" water spray which silences you if you get too close, a move they also do in a battle.
I would just like to say I would much rather drakes hiss and roar at me again instead of just spitting 9999 fireballs at me just because I smell a tad questionable from days of adventuring. I mean c'mon now Guivre, can't we just be friends?
The efts can go die in a hole though... the wretched [censored]...

With monster AI, non engaged mobs would not flee, but definitely back away from a fight, even slightly. Not wander in right infront of an attacking imp and your weaponskill...
