    I was rather suprised when I found out the Snurbles still heal / buff you, I guess because it wasn't a "Agressive" type of AI they didn't bother with it.

    Also, slugs still passively AOE when you get near them at times. But other than that the monsters are rather bland and lifeless in the AI department. I mean seriously I want to see a malboro scooping up marmots in the forest!

    I remember running to Mor Dhona through the Thanalan entrance, seeing a mob dot on my radar, and panicking.. and it being a coblyn, which proceeded to follow me on my aggro-dodging journey for a good twenty minutes. I loved it, and I loved the little creepy bastard who followed me, and I would really love to see all of this back in place.. including the following mobs, though I think it'd be best if they did run away when you drew a weapon, haha.

    Wow, I can't believe how much I missed this.
    I didn't even realize it was gone, other than red crabs giving warning, to which I no longer see any, so I figured it was still in the game, just need to go find it.

    But yeah, seeing all the different interactions was amazing, and keep the game feeling like there was more to find and learn.

    A friend of mine was willing to try the game JUST because a coblyn would follow me around, and he thought it was both creepy and funny.
    Granted he liked PGL (before AA), but didnt want to keep playing after Lv10.

    Funguar wont use Queasy cloud, or (not sure on name) Mushroom whip if you don't attack them when they inflate or deflate.
    Mice mobs tend to flee after you weaponskill and cower for a few moments
    Red crabs "Used to" Raise their claws instead of flat out agroing until you got closer to them
    Drakes will warn you before they agro
    Efts "Used to" Become "Aware" of your presense via sound, and if you stopped moving during this phase where they appeared to be listening for you...you could avoid agro!
    Many mobs used to follow you around Monkies, and Aldgoats being a prime example.
    Deer and Quqirn would run away from you.

    I remember this, this was what Tanaka founded and then I guess some people didn't like it and Yoshi came and abolished it.

    Being as it may, what was removed for some odd reason. If the AI re instated, the world would look, feel and behave more alive as the environment would also look alive with the new landmarks and scenery included with 2.0 =)

    I full-heartedly agree. Consider this my signature.

    It would be great if they not only brought mob AI back, but really nailed it this time. Mobs that chase and fight other mobs. Mob mentality, solo mobs, mobs that sense different elements of magic when cast, mobs that hear, mobs that see (or blind), curious, brave, stupid, etc. Mobs that forage for food and maybe compete with players for DoL resources. Beastmen that hunt specific mobs. Mobs that are scared of scarier mobs...

    Create a whole realistic ecology, Square Enix!!!

    I presume the coding for all of the suggestions could be more complicated than can be implemented in less than 1 year.

    Now that the game has changed again. I really like the OP's comment. I also liked how an aggressive mob would warn you when you got close.

    I noticed there are still some of that AI left in the game while hunting nodes, they should add more things to it though.
