I thought they still do that? I had one do that to me today when I was playing. Unless something else made it do that?
It was slightly annoying, I agree. But I sort of saw that as part of the challenge in fighting that particular mob. It kinda offset the ease of defeating mice with the extra effort required to attack them.
Also, as someone mentioned within the thread, I think "scaring off" curious mobs by having a weapon drawn is a brilliant idea. For those who don't wish to collect a troop of monkeys at their feet as they explore, they could just run about with weapon drawn and gain no attraction.

This was one of the major features and draws to this game. I fervently hope it makes a come back soon as it makes the world seem alive and that is exactly one of the things that set the game apart from many others. Bring it back please.
you act like it was removed forever, once the game is fixed and everything that is really important is fixed, then they can fix this and put it back in
This is really important to many of us. It wasn't removed "To be fixed at a later date" it was just removed without rhym or reason.

As Jynx says, we do not know. It was just removed. Oh, it was announced in the patch notes, but not with any justification as to why it was done. Thus the wild speculation as to whether it was permanently removed or what. This is really important to many of us. It wasn't removed "To be fixed at a later date" it was just removed without rhym or reason.
Hell, it could even be the developers figured they'd wait and see if a topic like this one cropped up to decide whether it was worth fixing and reintegrating the AI or if they ought just not bother with it at all. Hopefully, this topic either has, or will, prove it is worthwhile, whatever amount of support the entity AI currently has amongst the developers.
Then again, Kailea, if you happen to have a link or something proving it was just temporary, well now, I think we'd all be greatly comforted to see that, even if it wouldn't make keeping this topic up any less worthwhile.

would be nice if some mobs only ran from you when you were in active mode. This way you couldn't engage them without sneaking up on them. It would actually be kind of annoying but would add some depth to the game.

I did like this, I didn't like how goats were everywhere and thus would all swarm you...
I hope they bring this back to some extent.

Curious Galagos are no longer curious. I should not have to wear a big yellow hat to have a monkey follow me. Please re-implement.

Legend tells of a legendary warrior whose kung fu skills were the stuff of legend. He was so deadly, in fact, that his enemies would go blind from over-exposure to pure awesomeness!
