It's as if some people simply forgot that the relic weapon only very recently came on par with the T9 weapon, despite the T9 weapon being in the game for over half a year already.

Looks like they won't introduce the 120 or so until 2.45 to let people who do coil get ahead on the weapon game again.
Prob be like
2.45 - ilvl 120
2.5 - ilvl 130
2.55 - ilvl 135
I am not sure that the new low level i110 weapon should require the same amount of efforts and gil to get it as i110 relic. If they keep the relic way from 90 to 110 unchanged no one will be motivated to do it.
they are boosting atma drop rate, and reducing Animus book cost, 1500->500...
Only the Preliminary Patch Notes have been released so far. Just because there isn't any relic quest information there, doesn't mean it won't be included with the full patch notes.
With FCoB being released, you can almost count on a new step in the Relic Quest.
Nexus brings us to i115. We'll need something to up us to i120/125, and probably wait til 2.5 for i130/135 relic.
Genuine friendly advice: For those looking to start their relic with the atma nerf, from an efficiency standpoint, I'd rush to get to the Novus phase ASAP. Novus (and Nexus to an extent) is a great place to be upon the release of new tomestones as your daily progress towards Novus (expert roulette) will also see that you max-out your weekly Poetic Tomes (two birds with one stone). Atma farming and doing books is the worst - because your progress towards these are exclusive to upgrading your relic from 90 to 100 (during your atma farming, 27 dungeons, 900 mob kills, 27 fates and 27 leves) you'll earn minimal poetic tomestones at best.
That in my opinion is why the atma and animus phase are the worse. They are a huge time hog that can really cause you to fall behind if you only get an average amount of time to play each week.
The way from 100 to 110 is a month at least. I dont think that it's real to get more than 3 alexandrites/day. 1.5-2 hours of hunt + expert roulette = 1crystall + 2 treasure maps and you will be unable to buy sold/allied seals gear at this time. Note that it's a way from bad to entry level weapon. Additionaly u will need to pay a tonnes of gil or spiritbond materia.
I'm curious if alexandrite drop is being boosted from fates. If all of a sudden atma / alexandrite are dropping 1 per hour, then fates might be a pretty realistic approach for Novus. The way from 100 to 110 is a month at least. Drop rates doesn't solve this problem. In my world 11+8 pieces of tier IV materia can cost 8-9M gil approx. it may be not terrible to pay such amount of gil for hi-end or near it item but not for entry level one.
