24 hour patch in this day and age?

You just know regardless of how many hours they stay offline, whether 6 hours or 24 hours when it comes back online there will still be problems and will be taken down again for a period of time over the following day or so to fix what they messed up. That is why I find it funny when people say I prefer down for longer so when comes back up won't be problems yet there always is no matter how long they extend it for. Just because they extend the expected downtime prior to trying to implement it does not mean will be done right and SE is not good at this sort of thing as they keep refusing to upgrade their infrastructure, trying to squeeze every single last ounce of memory and processing out of their fairly outdated servers.
