24 hour patch in this day and age?

I'd rather wait for a 24 hour downtime so they can ensure everything goes smoothly and works properly when it comes back up, than have a week and a half of buggy gameplay that gets patched 4 times over the NEXT week with 3 hour downtimes in-between.

WoW should be taking notes.

That's exactly what happens here EXCEPT we also get a ridiculous maintenance time on top of the month long connection hiccupthon that is about to ensue.
