    1. have they added anything new since then? if so what cause i searched but didnt find anything gonna assume no

    2. is the game still extremely grindy? do you still have to run dungeons a billion times to level up or grind leves? (nobody ran fates anymore on my server when i quit)

    1. http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/commen...ersal_summary/, you can see 2.38 is housing. However, next week on the 28th 2.4 will come out. Ninja, new dungeons, main storyline, new tomestone (gears), recipes, coil, Shiva primal.

    2. All MMORPGs mate, every single one of them :P. Some can hide it better than others, but players play too fast to make unique content for every moment of the game. Although talking about levels in particular, leveling is not that hard so long as you aren't expecting it to happen over night in 1 hour. I've casually and very easily leveled stuff up just completing the challenge log and doing the daily roulettes.

    Pretty much everything Shougun said.

If you want to get back in, I'd wait until the 28th. Then you can level Pugilist to 15, get on the airship to Limsa, and pick up the Rogue Job for the rest of the way.

Roetip: You cannot pick Rogue as a starting class. So if you want to hop onto the Ninja bandwagon, it's best to start off as Pugilist, since it is the Cross-Class requirement for Ninja.

There are a lot of ways to make gil, however you wont get many people to actually give out their secrets. Most will just tell you to craft and spriritbind gear, then sell the materia.

I personally play the market. Buy low, sell high. I make an absolute killing doing this, however it requires a knowledge of trends and risk management.

The challenge log and Duty Roulette (Adventurer in Need bonuses) help alot with making gil. In fact someone broke it down here: http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/commen...een_gil_guide/

If you have the patience, sell everything. all those little bat wings and viscous secretions add up over time. I make quit a bit of money just selling this stuff on MB a few here and there as I get them. Trust me it adds up! Otherwise, selling crystals is still a good way to earn some quick cash. and as Winter said, spiritbonding high level gear for materia is good too!

I play the market as well, and find out what skins/hides are selling for then hunt. I've turned 600,000 into almost 5 mil by playing the market boards.

Tip: NIN coming out, look at what might be decent level 30-50 gears for MNK or ARC and buy a few pieces, demand will swell real quick. Watch those materia too...

Also, level GSM for some SB pieces, will help with selling materia and eventually if you start the relic grind, you won't have to buy as many.
