    Zalera Final Coils Initiative

So, we're always that small server that downs current content when it's not so current except for maybe one or two FCs that are usually about to transfer to a high pop server. However, even though six months since 2.2 has passed, a significant amount of our player base still struggles to pass turn 5. Very few are qualified for the final coils.

At the start of 2.4, four teams are able to enter final coils. WMN, HUGS!, tm, and Ninja. EMF's team being very close. Several other FCs are also on T9. I'm hoping to ramp up the amount of teams very early on once T9 gets unlocked.

For those who have never set foot into T9, you have a long road ahead should you enter as a brand new team. However, if one member from any of the above FCs were to lend you a hand, your team could down T9 within 2 weeks if your static is willing to listen and take advice.

To make it easier to clear T9 for as many groups as possible, I am going to take an initiative to provide the methods that MY team (and tm) uses to clear T9. If more people are on the same page on the method, there will be less confusion.

HUGS! and tm uses the JP PUG standard method. WMN and others uses the NA/EU standard. The difference between the two methods is that the JP PUG method is simply that. It is VERY easy for a PUG to learn.

Before you tackle the final turns, there is a checklist that you must meet should you desire to clear T9 before echo buffs/mechanics nerfs.

Here are the questions you should ask yourself/team. If the answer is no to any of these, you will have a significantly lower chance to clear.

1: Is every single member able to reach 515 accuracy cap? No? Make it happen.

2: Are your tanks/healers flexible and willing to work together? Remember Death Sentence in T5? A similar mechanic in T9 hits far harder and ruins relationships between bad tanks and healers. Tanks shouldn't be afraid to use cool downs and save them for in case of an emergency. There is no emergency if you're dead. If there's an emergency, your fight is probably going south very quickly, and you're probably going to wipe, anyway. Healers shouldn't make excuses. They should find ways.

    3. Is your DPS able to not zone out? T9 loves to kill people who zone. Instantly. If you struggled with learning fireball/conflags, you're going to absolutely hate T9.

    4. The most important of all, does your team have a strong foundation of their jobs? Does your tank fully understand cool downs? Do your healers prioritize efficiency? Can your DPS max or nearly max their gear's stats output?

Remember, T5 is easy now due to a two way buff. Echo buff and 2.2 gear buffs. The first 3 weeks of T9 has almost none of those. The DPS check is real if your DPS does not have optimal rotations.

If you can honestly feel confident that you meet all the above requirements, you are will on your way to final coils.

Though I'd like to point out the difference between the JP PUG method and NA/EU standard is mainly how you handle the first two phases of the fight (mainly the placement of darnus and the meteors for those too lazy to google it).

Correct, the fight is the exact same after golem phase.
