1/ Yes unless your pt consists at least of 2 pets. 2 Pets can do the job instead of you.
2/ You will always on the second aggro list if you are running as OT, and you won't get targeted for Fireball,Conflag, or Hatch, never. General strat: Run into Conflag if you have Fireball.
3/ & 4/ Main tank grabs the big snakes while Off tank grabs the small snakes. After the second of the second set of Divbomb (the 3 set of Divebomb AFTER the snakes appear), Off tank run ahead to the other side and wait to grab straight away aggro on the remaining 2 small snakes and re-group with the big snake for AoE LB. Could also go the other way around. Make sure to discuss who grab what to avoid confusion.
5/Dreadknight will always follows to whoever got imprisoned, regardless of aggro, you job as OT (assuming you are Paladin), is to stun the Dread before it reaches its target while avoiding Twister and not run into any other players. Second aggro will always not on the target table for the prison.
6/While inside the Neulink and you are targeted by 5 set of Liquid Hell, either pop Hallow Ground AFTER the fifth Liquid Hell had been dropped, or tell the group before starting the fight that you would run away and that they need to run into Neulink to absorb the hatch themselves.
7/490 if you are Mtking, as Otking, you only need minimum of 470.
8/Solo Tank, you grab everything: Twin/3 Scourges, Bigsnake/Smallsnakes, Stun Dread, Absorbs Hatch while tanking Twintania. If you are not EXPERIENCED with the fight, DO NOT try solo tank this as if you get twisted, or fail Dread, or kill other players with Twister, fail to grab aggro on all the mobs,... the pt will have a very hard time and wipe consistently.

In short, if you are dead (for any reason), the fight is OVER... GAME OVER!!!!

assuming the party has 2 tanks and i'm OT:
1)do i always help soaking fireball damage?
2)if i'm targeted by fireball and conflag is up, do i always enter conflag?
3)do i grab only the little serpents or asclepyus too?
4)assuming i grab at least the little ones, once the 2 adds on the opposite sides appear, do i grab them and then go back to the "divebomb area"? this phase i really haven't quite understood...
5)i must not try to aggro the dreadknight, must i?
6)while inside the neural link, absorbing hatches, if i'm targeted by liquid hell, i run away and everyone takes care of him/herself in case of hatch, correct? at least until liquid fire stops and fire pool on neural link disappears, right?
7)how much accuracy do i need?
8)in case it's a solo-tank run, do i grab Twintania AND all 3 scourges at the start of the fight?
Thanks in advance for any help
    1. As OT, yes you would unless there are 3 pets in the party.
    2. Yes, though you shouldn't be since you should be second on the hate list.
    3. That depends on your group strat. Discuss before the run.
    4. Depends on the group strat. It's easier to have OT grab the other two if you have two tanks, though.
    5. You shouldn't be targeted if you're second in hate, I don't think.
    6. No. If you're targeted by Liquid Hell, you stay put and pop a cd even in a single-tank strat.
    7. 490-ish iirc.
    8. Yes, you grab all of the mobs at the beginning.

I kinda wish you were on my server so I could lend a hand. I like helping with T5 clears. ^^

Eh. I got my first clear as a solo tank. It's honestly not all that much more difficult than the duo tank strat, but maybe I'm just used to it. I get a little confused when I have an OT since I've pretty much always solo tanked it. The only time I do the duo tank strat is when I'm helping another tank get a clear; if they aren't confident or geared enough to solo tank, or if they are a warrior (dem Dreadknights doe) I'll play the OT role in DPS accessories.

But yes, this. If the tank dies in a solo tank run you mayaswell just wipe it.

Congrats, you have two of the best healers in Eorzea , given your clear is pre-echo

I do know a lot of good healers, yes. We did wipe a few times while we got the strat down, but having competent players with you is definitely a plus. We were also in voice chat, so that made things a LOT easier.
