do u have all your crafts at 50 as well? and your bot and miner at lvl50 as well. Best way to make gil is making food and selling. Considering 2.4 is next week and every1 going be doing that new coil, food will be selling really fast. Gsm market is small, mostly gold ingots sells but thats it.New unspoiled nodes going have alot of gil in it as well. U should be making over 2-3 mil a week just from food and gathering stuff.

You can kill Vanguards to get Garlean Steel Joint. That's selling well on my server

Spiritbond crafting gear. Just equip yourself in at least crafting and gathering jewelry and spirit bond it in e.g. urth's gift. This can net you approximately 1 ~ 2 million worth of materia in roughly 5 ~ 10 hours of spiritbonding. Varying a bit on whether or not the RNG gods are on your side. If you have the time and can avoid going crazy, you can make up to about 10 million gil a week this way.

The best way to make money is to study the market board. Each server has its own consumption rates. By observing and seeing what sells and what doesn't, it will give you enough information on what you need to do to earn money.

Telling you to pick up a profession may not be helpful when your server may not actually consume items from those DOH or DOL classes.

SBing is really good advice. I do cheap items in the lvl50 range all the time. There are tons of camps if you keep it in the 45-50 lvl range and you can XP your chocobo at the same time.

I hit gold yesterday and got a Savage Might IV from a eletrum ring. (might have been the earring) That was a quick 680k.

Yeah, spiritbonding is probably the easiest way to make money without drastically changing how you play the game. You can certainly make a decent amount of money crafting (and gathering, but some materials can't be gathered more often than every 72 RL minutes), but the initial investment is enormous since you'd need all crafts at 50, lots of materia to outfit at least one of them, probably one or both gathering classes (fishing doesn't really count) decently outfitted, and you'd need to make your way through the artisan grind. It's a lot to do if you don't actually want to craft (or gather) and just want to make gil.

As far as spiritbonding goes, crafting and gathering materia prices are close to what you might expect. They get a bit more expensive every tier, with tier I actually being pretty expensive because the demand is very high (you use several tier I's overmelding crafting/ gathering gear). Tier IV are pretty expensive. Battle materia are a bit all over the place with pricing due to Novus and the fact that several varieties are useless or near enough. Also, because several people are actively trying to get Savage Might IV, for example, many of the tier III materia are cheaper than you'd expect (their supply is higher than the supply of tier II materia). Because of this, spiritbonding battle materia can have more varied results. You can be unlucky and get nothing worthwhile (all elemental resist) or very lucky and make a fortune (lots of red tier IVs). Crafting/ gathering materia is a lot less random. Less likely to win big, but less likely to lose.

thats a lot of great advice guys, thanks. I didn't think food would be able to make that much money. Im going to finish gsm as in lvl 45 then start working on spirit bonding, gathering and cul. Hopefully i can make some good gill in no time.

Currently working on my CUL now. Yeah food does sell well, but CUL eats up more inventory than FSH does, its a pain.

glamours and Chocobo fruits are the easiest way to get a ton of gil for little effort.
