High Level Weaver: Now What Do I Do?

Hello everyone. I could use some help and advice. Just recently I have crafted 50 HQ Silver Brocade with my Weaver and thus traded it in for the Artisan's Needle. I also have the Artisan's Spectacles. I was very happy to have that wonderful needle but as I looked at the Clotho Suprna, I began to wonder, what the heck do I do now? To get either my Super duper needle or my super duper Botany Hatchet, both require FieldCraft Demimateria 3. Well unless I want to drop the 2.5 Million Gil I don't have for 10 of those suckers, I heard the only other way to get it was Desynthesis. Particularly Desynthesis using Artisan's Spectacles. Is there no other way to get this Materia? This doesn't really seem worth it at all. Is there anything else I can do with my Weaver? I am really happy to have my Weaver so high in the crafting chain but I feel at a loss now about what my next step should be. Thanks for any input. Ways to make money are also welcome

While I have yet to obtain any in that manner myself, I've read that Fieldcraft Demimateria can be obtained by desynthesizing three-star furnishings (maybe also two-star furnishings? Not sure). I don't know offhand what two- and three-star furnishings Weaver can craft that are reasonable (i.e., don't use extreme primal drops or other absurd ingredients), but there's probably one or two you can spam desynth for Fieldcraft.

And yes, there's no other way to get those Demimateria. You must desynth.

And yes, debate is fierce as to whether it's even worthwhile to upgrade to the next tool tier. Many advise to simply skip it. On the other hand, there may come a day when new recipes are added that will REQUIRE the modest stat bonuses given by the upgrade, at which point FC Demimateria will become even MORE ridiculously expensive - but that's pure speculation at this point.

As for what to do next with your Weaver - level other crafts to 50. Any serious crafter, even if they focus only on one craft, can benefit greatly from the cross-class abilities granted by other crafts. As an example, Armorer's level 50 skill "Piece-by-Piece" is VERY useful for crafting three-star furnishings. "Byregot's Blessing", the Carpenter level 50 is so useful for capping Quality you'll weep at the thought of how much time it could have saved you crafting Silver Brocades. Culinarian's "Reclaim" ability makes a lovely safety net if the random number gods are cruel.

Weavers can desynth the Forager's hat. If you have miner or botanist 50 you can get those. Its a slow painful process.
