Some housing benefits would be cool. But I think something in our profiles to state who they are, the date it took place etc would be enough. Or a special tab in the character profile window. Even your significant others name on the info when you hover over your ring, special title for the two of you.
A new board in towns to see whos not married yet for us single ladiesj/k j/k!!!
Access to each other's inventory directly.
In other words, EX and BIND not work on a pair. ^^;

Sharing inventories or rights of any type won't happen most likely. As Yoshi said, bonds aren't foreverlasting in many cases, would make a lot of conflict when a -relationship- ends.
when it ends, "access denied", how about an "Eternal Partner chest", another version of company chest. ^^;
tbh, ownership of a house and the housing item may make lot of conflict when a -relationship- ends as well?

And they could steal each other's items while doing so, and you can't do anything to prove it was stolen since you're sharing them. There's a reason why sharing accounts is against their rules, and (most likely) on every game.

slight difference between sharing an inventory space and sharing an account, though.
It'd be something interesting for SE to add, though, especially since it's exclusively between two people and any interpersonal issues are between the partners and no one else.

Bein a buzz kill Vanille <.< although I still heart your gunhealer idea![]()

I would imagine that house ownership would got to the initial buy. and in the event that the house was bought when having a partner, the same would apply.
I would imagine if the initial buyer has not logon for 35days, then the ownership will be auto transferred to the other partner... ^^;
It solves if one of the partners lost access to his/her account, something like those FC issues...
By extending this logic, the house should be owned by both partners, as the house might be bought with the gils from both partners,
therefore, I think there should be a system to prevent one partner losing the property when another partner betrayed.
