Harsher Penalties for Tanks who Immediately Leave Duty Finder

Tanks get instantly queued and have no incentive to stay in a party when a dungeon with peculiar mechanics is randomly selected. Many, many, many times I have specifically queued for a dungeon to have the tank immediately leave when he or she sees which dungeon it is (I have seen this mostly happen in The Stone Vigil and Pharos Sirius).

Since all players have the option to Withdraw from duty finder if they are not ready, to Commence the duty and abandon it without even attempting to play is unacceptable when other members of the party had to wait as long as 45 mins to 1 hour to form the party.

Tanks who abandon the duty immediately should be penalized for much longer then the current time is set to, I would suggest one hour, about the time it took the DPS in the party to wait for the group.

No I prefer harsher penalties for players that refuse to level tanking and healing classes. They need to add a lazy debuff *hairflip*

Also harsher penalties for players that don't know how to play and won't listen, or seriously under geard, saw drg wearing lvl 18-20 accessories in WP and AK (kicked the guy after giving him a try and he failed badly, but then he queued to join in progress I'm guessing and we had him back lol), I can understand people leaving though when they see the other members are not even remotely geard to have a reasonable run for the dungeon

Do I really need to level a certain class I've played non-stop in previous MMOs because that class still can't get over the swollen head these stupid Dungeon Finder systems give them? Do I really need to go back to a class simply to be a good ambassador among all the mewling children who pick it?

This behavior doesn't even save time most of the time. It's just nothing more than entitled crap. Tanks act this way because they can get away with it. The idea that your average Duty Finder All-Star tank is going to spend his time instead doing high powered day trading because of increased penalties is a fantasy. He'll be there on slightly better behavior because it'll probably be the first time he's been held responsible for something his entire MMO career.

When it burns an honest tank that'll be unfortunate but much more than that it will curb a lot of ridiculous behavior out of people.

So... more reasons to not tank in DF? Ok.

You're missing the whole point. The tank is leaving because he or she does not want to do the dungeon that duty finder randomly selected, without even trying to do it at all. Nothing wrong with the group's composition, either the tank simply believes the dungeon is too long or too difficult to pug and therefore simply leaves.

Adding an additional time penalty to abandoning a duty finder group within the first few minutes of the duty is no reason not to tank in DF----unless you're that dude abandoning people.

Yeah, tanking is already a thankless job at max level. Do a high level duty roulette and the PT makes you feel like you can't tank regardless of how hard you are trying to do your best.

I realize it's not saying much, but I find I get thrown 2-3 commendations just for queueing tank. Most of the time I don't say anything outside of "Hello" and get commended. Meanwhile I could queue as a DPS and explain all of the fight mechanics and get no commendations. I know it's only commendations, but it's better than nothing I guess.

Nice another thread calling for more restrictions.
