There is nothing wrong with the queue times

Since a week after Hunts were released, my queue times, as tank, have skyrocketed. Where I can wait hours. Before hunts? Did not matter what I queued up for, what time of day or night, it was extremely rare I waited more than 20 minutes for anything.

The high level tanks have moved on to work on other classes as there is a shortage of tank classes to level in the game. Once more tank classes are released, then queues will get better...

The amount of tank/healer classes in the game are SO outnumbered compared to DPS 2T/2H/6DPS (including nin/nja), if it were 4/4/6 it would be smoother. I personally like Tanking/Healing over DPSing but I play the other classes as I'm trying to slowly lvl my 32 PLD to wait for another tank class before I hit 50 with it like I did my WAR. I have a 50 SCH and a 46 WHM.

I was working on bard atma books this morning and had a 90 minute queue trying to get into Lost City. I then 90k'd, got back online and pestered a healer friend to help with the queue. We managed to get in to the dungeon after about 10 minutes.

Oh yeah, and then the tank bailed before the first pull.

Looks like part of your gripe is with that average time OP. Need to remember that that IS an average and if what you're queueing for is not a heavily run instance or you're queueing out of prime time for that server then the sample size the game is using for that average could be VERY small making it extremely inaccurate. Also possible a partial was queuing multiple times getting a few DPS queued fast. Every 8 man is 4 DPS. Partial queues up...4 DPS get like <1 min queues and drive down the average wait somewhat artificially.

You could say that the server database you are on, is void of tanks for what you are trying to run. Put up a PF, might take a while, but it's better than DF.
