no, there won't.
we are getting an eternal bond system and the aim is 2.4
as much as I would like there not to be one..... yes its the eternal bond system -_-
SE thinks this is the only way they could allow gay marriage into the game which isn't true. They could of just added it and flat out called it marriage and it would of been fine. Kinda bugs me. I don't expect anyone else to share in my opinion.
Marriage and an eternal bond are two different things! An eternal bond is something you can have with your uh..your favorite bro! It's just like being super best friends.
I share in your opinion simply because it's a stupid dodge to keep basis alive in the world. But that is neither here nor there such things are not suited to be discussed in a video game I suppose.
Am I forgiven....
It's the only way they could do so without alienating a far too large section of their playerbase and creating a firestorm far beyond the means or skill of any to control.
I am a supporter of gay marriage. I prefer "eternal bond" to the word marriage. It bothers me as much as if they had used "inches" instead of "ilms", "catfish" instead of "coeurlfish" etc. I'd prefer they choose creative instances whenever they can over outright direct real world to game transplants.
In essence, if only heterosexual couples could get essentially "married" (which I'm glad they decided against), even then, I'd still rather they call it something besides marriage.
What does concern me though is that I'm not sure if the people who are involved with the "eternal bond" system would be called "husband" or "wife" when the game has already established that, at the very least, "wives" exist. If a "wife" exists (I'm basically referencing Roegadyn naming conventions but I'm sure there other uses of the word) then the "wife" in question should've gone through an "eternal bond" ceremony, and not a "marriage". If that isn't the case, the "eternal bond" system is a very lame cop out and is just "separate but equal" in disguise.
Probably gonna be tied to housing
