Because it's not necessary anymore. There wasn't one there to begin with. Then they had all the server stability trouble at launch. People were leaving themselves logged in just because if they logged out, it might be days before they could get back in again. So SE put in the auto-logout in a hotfix. Servers were improved, and people stopped staying on 24/7, things got stable enough to remove it, so they did.
