I don't mean to nit-pick but I think that AoE attack of the slugs is either on a timer, or completely random. I've come around a corner having just seen a slug finish that move with no one else around. Before it was theorized that if you stepped on them they AoE'd, but I've seen it never happen, or just be one of those things that happens as you pass on by.

Like a belch or something. Ahahaha.

I wish they hadn't gotten rid of the curiosity of certain mobs like Efts, now they just attack immediately. ): With mobs like goats now no longer following people, it's also a shame...But with melee attacks being AoE with no control over it, it was an issue ahaha.

I don't want Aldgoats to follow me. I do want Efts to be cautious, curious, then attack. Efts used to be interesting.

A lot of this game used to be interesting until people complained about 2 goats following them. Boo hoo, adapt and change just like everyone had to do for 1.18

One time at Knotts Berry Farm, a goat kept following my step-dad around the petting zoo. It finally got behind him and snatched his map of the place out of his back pocket and started eating it. And it seems everybody has maps in their pockets, so maybe they were just hungry...

There were so many solutions to the goat problem. The obvious one being not to shorten the amount of time they would follow you, and to have then not exhibit the behavior when you are in active mode. Hell, when they let mages cast in passive mode this would have even added another layer of tactics; cast in passive mode so you can get your regen and risk AoE a curious goat, or go in active mode to dissuade them but loose your passive regen?

There were so many things that were awesome about this game that have since been removed for no (imho) valid reason. Yoshida talks about wanting to bring life to the game, but I have to wonder what he really means. /pose doesn't bring anything to the game but re-enforcing the stereotype that all miqo'te are sluts. Meanwhile he removes one of the cooler aspects to the game - mob behavior.

I understand it though; maybe they saw all the eft parties and thought that efts needed to be more aggressive because their numbers were getting slaughtered by the hundreds. Okay, I'll by that. But why not make it that they agro active mode but still behave normally to people in passive mode?

    Again, so many better solutions.

Maybe we'll get lucky and Bay will see this, pass it along, and it will be one of those situations where the dev team says, "Huh, why didn't we think of that? Gosh I feel silly."

Removing environmental interactions outside combat was a bad move... a prime example of why listening to everything the community says is not a good thing.

This was one of the few games that had that feature. Some mobs ran from you, some where curious, Some watched you run by, some did various actions if you got too close.... removing those was a major downgrade honestly.

I agree, nothing made my day then the dodo/goat Congo line. My initial reaction to them was "omg I'm being mugged by a gang of livestock!!" Now its more along the lines of "awww its ignoring me... WHY?! ; ;"
