Correction of prices for optional items

That is the calamity savager. There was another NPC that would appear during seasonal events to sell you items of past seasonal events of the same type (ie during the Moonfire Event, you could buy from him the items from past Summer events, during Christams, past Christas events items, etc.)

Untrue - everyone could buy past event items in the in-game shop for the summer and easter events, even if they just joined.

Also, wtf is with the prices? $5 for a single item that you missed by joining late? Retainers at $2/mo makes sense, they take server memory. Why are the items so stupidly expensive? It doesn't cost SE anything. If they wanted to put a cash value on them, why not $1 or $2? $5 is half a phantasia!

If things worked the way you described it, you wouldn't be able to get the reideer costumes, the pumpkin heads, the red green blue gold silver bikinis, the plain yukatas, the valentine chokers and many more because they were from 1.0. Half, if not more, of the event items you can get from 2.0 until now are from 1.0. And SE gave new 2.0 players a chance to get them. Until now.

This right here is the only issue I've got with their store. Those items were available for gil and should remain that way.

I would love one of the pumpkin heads, and maybe the clothing, so when the 28th hits and if I have some pocket change,

Without the cash shop you would have been able to buy in-game (with gil, and not a lot of it) those same items from previous years. That's how it was working... until now.

Afaik you were only able to obtain the items for gil if you have actually received them previously from participating in the events. Meaning in case you discarded them you can re-buy them. But if you weren't there for the event you can't buy them at the Calamity Salvager. For example I never cared for the Horseheads back then and those are not available for me to buy.

When we talk about that, we mean that there was always an NPC during events that sold the old event items (for that same event), even if you didn't take part on it. This was already explained on the next page after my post, as another poster was confused about it too. That has been taken away now because of the cash shop.

Except it's NOT that simple as there are going to be cash shop exclusives. So it's either pay up or miss out. Why should anyone miss out on items when they're already paying a monthly subscription?
