Door badge checkers were hit or miss. I saw a few legit people I recognized as being attendees being harassed, and a few people without badges sneak in without a problem.

SE should invite cover bands to play in the reception hall (examples: http://bit.ly/1s3QGFz ). Having live music is fun to watch.

The joke, "Final Fantasy XIV Linefest" became too real.

Having Wi-Fi available to attendees would have been appreciated. I would have gladly paid a little extra to have this available.

As far as location, Las Vegas is fine. Florida would be great too, but may be a bit far for Japanese SE staff. Seattle/Portland would be wonderful. Toronto would be *amazing* (I love Toronto).

About the stream, I think I've seen some viewers kicked from the chat, but you should do more. There were people spamming or making inappropriate comments about the woman translator, polluting the chat.
I haven't watched everything though, so I don't know if it got better afterwards (I hope the comments during the cosplay contest weren't too offensive).

And you don't have to wait 2015 to do it ♪

Orlando, Atlanta, or Boston would be great.

Even Montreal or Toronto would be fine. With how big the USA & Canada is, it would be great to have fan fest in a different section of North America each year.

Possibly having the European one be in Paris or Essen and the Japanese one in Osaka as well next year.

THIS! Traveling internationally I was expecting SOME kind of event supplied WiFi. Heck they do it for Local, smaller conventions. Made keeping people who follow my channel and twitter much less updated and informed than others.

Cashier limitation is my only serious complaint. I HOPE it becomes an annual thing. I sadly am not part of the media, so most of the shows where the primal challenges are out of reach for me. This was the first gaming convention I have ever gone to, but things seemed like they went surprisingly well for this being the first XIV event. Had a blast! Thanks and mad props to the entire crew behind the curtains making it possible! =D

Oh also! More trash cans by the lines. This may sound silly but I carried around empty bottles and wrappers for hours while waiting in line because there was no where to put it. But more trash cans in general would have been helpful.

    1) The lines were pretty rough, standing for 2+ hours to do something was exhausting.
    2) The registration portion was rough, I was in line at 4am and didn't get registered until 12pm because the handhelds couldn't pull up my name.
    3) The stream audio for the concert made it sound like the concert was bad, but the audio in person was fantastic! I loved the concert but many streaming thought it was bad because of how it sounded via stream.
    4) I loved your hosting Matt, but during the cosplay contest if it was setup more like a red carpet event where the person walks on, does a pose, camera does a body shot while you are asking them a question, I think it would have gone smoother. There was a lot of awkwardness and downtime during that portion of the fan fest.

Thank you for all that you do, I love the community team and you did a great job as MC, Camate was great too, everyone thank you!

As Mineva said (hello FC friend) the lines were massive. We all got turned away from so many events it really was discouraging. I didn't care about the posters (though they were nice) I just wanted the badges cause we had started collecting them AS a Free Company!

More events to do during our downtime at Line Fest would have been amazing. It felt like for the price we paid it was a bit much to just stand around waiting. I know every first year con has it's problems trust me other than waiting in line I had some of the most amazing times of my life this past weekend. If we could extend events into Friday that would be pretty amazing too.

More Merch would be AMAZING! Maybe stuff ONLY Fan Fest could get if we go. I was REALLY miffed learning that people could buy the stream and get the moogle attire. I was kinda sitting there thinking that it would be exclusive for us that spent the time and money to go to Fan Fest.

    [part 2]

Or maybe autograph signings for some of us that aren't VIP. My boyfriend was but I wasn't so it wasn't really that big of a deal but a lot of us had to go "Yoshi hunting." He was such a humble and sweet man and I did get a picture and autograph but I knew people that didn't.

The cosplay competition could be handled better too. I was so scared to even wear a cosplay. OR if people compete separate the categories. A lot of us spend months on those costumes. I would and am scared to go up against professional cosplayers or people that commission from a skill level most of us cannot remotely touch.

Overall I am happily awaiting another Fan Fest because I know it looks like I am ripping into you guys but I had a WONDERFUL time and I LOVED most of it. Maybe have it in different locations in North America each year. Vegas was fun but part of the appeal is the travel

If they continue what they did this year, I wouldn't worry about that. The judges put a lot of emphasis on whether you made your own costume or not. A couple of costumes (which I shall not name) that made it into the finals were known to be pure commission pieces, but did not win any prizes despite looking amazing.
