Class Stickers

This might be a stupid question but are the "stickers" and badges" everyone is referring to the same thing. I saw people with patches that looked to be made of material and not actually stick to anything.

I wasn't able to make it to fan fest myself Just curious.

When I said badges I was referring to the class stickers. They were sticky on the back but were actually some kind of cloth patch thingamajig.
