Okay, so now this is derailing, but to reply briefly:

No, Square have already admitted it's not my bank or the card, (and are prepared to whitelist it, temporarily.) It's something to do with attempting to reactivate both accounts on the same day. However, and more relevant to this discussion, I applied my free PS4 upgrade SKU to the first account before attempting to reactivate the second, and the second is now chucking out a 'FFXIV has never been played on this account before' error, which may well be the source of the card failure, since the message also tells me I need to apply a registration code to the account.

TD:LR - if applying the free upgrade SKU has wiped my second service account, how much faith do you think I have in them being able to maintain a working cash shop, with power to the one hundred weekly transactions?

You'd have to be living in 1990 to think that subs and cash shops are mutually exclusive. I pay for a subscription to directv. That doesn't mean I don't pay for movies, premium channels, nfl Sunday Ticket, or a number of other optional services they make available to me. A subscription entitles you to a specific product or service. Anything above and beyond (ie cosmetics) is subject to whatever fee they damn well please. If its free with sub it should be considered a gift...not an entitlement.

@Amberyl: I understand your plight. It's not good for them to have this flaw in their system and it does need to be fixed. But this topic is not about the systems put in place and their faults. It is a place for people to discuss merchandise we would like to see. Truthfully, it doesn't even need to be offered on cash shop, but I know the shiniest things will be put there.

Please understand that I do have a wish for this thread. It should be a drama-free zone. "Should" is the key word. I apologize for anyone that insulted you, I would probably repay the attitude in kind like you said (as I did earlier in the thread.), but the topic is very specific to what it wants.

I am already paying them money. Therefor I should get everything in the cashshop for free, I am already paying them a sub fee to develop it why the hell would I pay for it again. Would be like paying McDonalds to make a hamburger then when i get to the pickup window they charge me an additional 2dollars to hand it over, just a stupid business practice which has no place with P2P games. Nothing but a pure money grab.

rant aside.

To answer the question. Nothing, and if there ever is something I need to buy in there to have a shot at being the best besides an expansion then they will lose their monthly sub from me as well.
