The only NM that can cause you problems with hate is Great Buffalo as most everyone already said. After 50% of his health it seems like he'll start using sonorous blast. After 50% I usually always have 1000+ TP (same with the thaums) and when he uses it we almost always try to land flash freeze, which will down him on his knees most of the time. This gives you plenty of time to build hate back up.

One thing I really like doing when AoE tanking Goblin and Mosshorn is using outmaneuver whenever you can, it helps you build a ton of TP from shield blocks (since you're taking so many hits) so you can spam Circle Slash II on all the adds. Ferocity and Raging Strike already build enough hate as it is and this will increase the damage of circle slash II which is a nice plus. It doesn't work so well on Dodore since for AoE tanking dodore you don't want to be in level-5 petrify or amnesia (I think thats the move?) range.

I also like using Luminous Spire on the Goblin since conjurer's nukes actually do a lot of damage to him and it lowers his magic defense.

Another thing I like to do for AoE tanking is saving my taunt for the main mob, and provoke for the add that the DD's are building TP off of to incapacitate the NM. It creates solid hate on the two mobs that might lose aggro before any others.

I think Retra's advice on claiming the mob before building hate is great, its really essential when trying to pull these NMs for the first time since if you go in and use an AoE provoke it'll pretty much be useless.
