So do you think this game will ever take it to the next-level of speed like FFXIII-2?

If you have ever played FFxiii-2 you will know that the ravagers are way faster than the normal casters of these games. So i wonder if the things like the stagger meter from FFxiii-2 aren't in this game are not in because of technology or if Square enix is just waiting for this type of gameplay in a new mmo sequel. So i thought that xiii-2's stagger meter might be a limit of technology not really a matter of choice.

It's always fun to speculate about possibilities. XIV is awesome but you can imagine ways for a future FF mmo to take certain aspects to the next level. Maybe faster paced battling is one of those things.

Trying to understand what you're saying, but not having much success. First you're talking about speed, then you're talking about the stagger meter. What do they have to do with each other?

As an aside, I thought XIII-2's battle system was really boring. It's one of the only games I ever fell asleep playing, and it always happened when I was battling. I found XIII's to be way more fun.

The ravager casts many spells at once very quickly. The stagger meter is the mechanic that correlates into this system. For me though i thought the ravager was the most innovative black mage idea i've seen. when i played this game though i beat most fights in a few seconds so i thought the speed of this game was actually really high.

IDK, drawing magic in FFVIII was a snooze fest. Anyway, I digress carry on.

I think the main problem is one of balance, not tech. Without thinking too much into it, I imagine that it would be harder to balance a faster paced battle system. Honestly, I've never given a faster paced battle system too much thought.

But with the way MMOs are always changing, it's good to have a core system that is easier to adjust game balance for.

Yeah maybe. i figured that a slow mmo was the better choice for them this generation. However i'm wondering if Square enix has the ability to take the world into science fiction with time. That's really how i felt about some parts of xiii-2 is that the combat/classes would make an interesting mmo if they ever step into the science fiction realm for one of their next mmos. When would that be though 10-20 years? i really don't know.
