    for Future Live letters.

Can we please have the two people in the red (sorry I forget their names and I know I shouldnt have...) from the live letter this weekend be in all future live letters! It added a different dynamic and provided us English speaking folk a quicker translation that reflected the nuance and not just the general impression.

I love the live letters and always looked forward to the more in depth translation but it takse weeks after the fact to get it. I might actually be more inclined to stay up for the live stream of it.

Please have live translators for future live letters for us English speaking folk.

    Like if you agree.

Not only does it take some time, but I see the answer posted several times, across the forums and lodestone. But on top of that, Koji is a pretty cool guy (one of them guys in red), would be nice to get him in there.

Koji was quite a highlight at Fanfest, especially his rapid fire switching of hats to try and sing moggle mog. And his translations were so natural and well flowing instead of being literal translations. Definitely need him there for other live letters.

I think it would be great to see our reps (CM, localization, lore, what have you) be part of live letters and more events. If they would like to be of course, no intention to make them do it if they hate it lol.

Anyway I'm sure they love me cause grass or something but I think they're pretty cool. Compared to a lot of other game companies SE has great foreign relation (we're a big market but we're also not the first language), still as a player with boundless wants it would be amazing to have each live letter sort of like the events done thus far in English. A bit of a pipe dream though, I understand the difficulty, quite a bit of coordination, work, and therefore the money it would take to do well.

    Hopeful +1'd :P

The devs would be foolish not to acknowledge how good Koji is to have around.

Yeah I agree. I appreciate the amateur translators that help us non-japanese speakers stay up to date, but there's no denying that Koji is a pretty awesome guy to have around for things like this (and just in general, he's great).

I'm not sure who the female translator was that translated for Yoshi-P a lot. She was good too, kind of nervous she seemed XD but she did a great job!

So what's the relationship between Koji and the other translator? (I'm sorry I forgot her name!) Koji's the localization lead, right? So is he her boss? Or are they on the same level? She seemed really nervous, I wanted to just tell her that it'll be okay, haha. But if you put me in front of thousands of people to do what is probably not the job I signed up for in front of my boss, I'd probably be nervous, too.

I'd very much like to see this for future LIVE letters, however I do see devs hesitation to do so, since if they provide an english translator they'd have to add a french and german one too otherwise those communities would cry foul. I think a good balance would be to have seperate audio for each localization setup with translators speaking off camera for their respective languages.

What I'd enjoy most though, would be if LIVE letters were pre-recorded and had subtitles. They'd still be recorded "live" we just wouldnt be seeing it live.

Fair point about the other languages but of all but Japanese, English would have the largest player base. Not only with players from UK and a lot of Europe, but NA. A lot of European players (mainly the French and German) seem to have a good understanding of English. On top of that, the FanFest was provided in English anyway. I know, I know, it was in NA and the next one is in the UK, both English speaking. If the demand for a French and German one is significant enough, I can't see why they wouldn't have it.
