Thread: So how will upgrading weathered gear work in 2.4 since there are 2 sets now?

Now that weathered gear bought with Soldiery tomes are not the only kind of gear to be upgraded with an item, what will happen to the soldiery gear? Will it automatically be upgraded. Or will both the new gear set from 2.4 and the gear from Soldiery tomes have to be upgraded separately?

For that matter will they even require the same kind of items?

I think they'll just keep the old soldiery gear as is and you still have to upgrade it. ST(probably)/ScOB lockout is being removed so you can farm as many upgrade items as you want and get all the ST sets to instantly boost all your alts to i100. Possibility that they might just sell the unweathered version straight for soldiery but I think that's a pretty low chance.

The new gear will use a different upgrade item that most likely drops from final coil at first if they keep it the same.

Yeah that's what i figured about the new gear is the item might drop from final coil.
