Did you even play endgame with these people ? I can speak from experience that most of the players that can easily clear T9 are actually nice people who are willing to endure their share of wipes while they and their static/guild learn the mechanics. They aren't demanding perfection, they are demanding that you show progress in learning the encounters. If anything, I've seen casuals and pugs be much harsher in their judgment of other people's skills

Last week I invited a friend into my static despite her never clearing T8 and only T6+7 once. Why? Because she got those wins with pick up groups and is actually putting effort in to learning the fights and their mechanics. If you show you're trying, Most end game players have no issue in giving you a hand.

But what do I know, Apparently I'm a douchebag because I can clear content.

A few times a month we will help those in our FC that didn't clear T5 to get their clear. Heck, did that the day before Fan Festival for a dragoon. He was having a lot of trouble with it, so we got together and got him the clear.
