This pretty much. Take a look at turn 5. A fight that has 20% echo, access to gear with 20 ilevels above the original cap and it's unlocked so friends that have beaten it can help you and yet people still complain that it's too hard and they can't beat it.

But, you know what makes T5 "hard"? It's the randomness of Twisters and the Knights. Sure, you can focus Target Twin BUT, just because you know Twisters are coming doesn't mean you know WHERE they will land. lol Could be you. Could be player NEXT to you. Could be over on the other side of the arena. Dreads? Same thing. Targets you. Targets whomever. THAT makes it "hard". Personally, while frustrating, to me, it's the BEST part of that fight.

actually the trouble of the high end raid of FF14 is the fact that it's not really raiding, it's dancing, we don't play with the other we are doing synchronized dance together. that quite different. a fight need to be more chaotic, less organized like they are right now. a good example of fight is the boss at the end of stone vigil, where you know what can do the boss, but never know what it will do. you need to react and adapt at the situation. this is raiding!
Boring in Red. Exciting and random in green. And, this issue HAS been brought to the Devs' attention. The problem is, according to them, it's difficult to achieve AND be balanced. True or not? I have no idea. I don't program/code for games. However, it IS what is needed in this game.

I laughed at the booing as well. Yes, I'm being an ass because I don't want it any "harder" or "easy mode". Just leave it. If you can't find a PUG to beat BCoB or SCoB or FCoB, then make you own damn static. The fact they will not be forcing people to do ANY of the coils in 3.0 I feel is cheap. If you're not going to let them have the same experience WE ALL HAD, why even have it in the game?

I started XI 4 years after it launched. Nothing was "removed" from the game. I was forced to go through the same experiences that everyone who got in in 2002 experienced. And I'm glad I did. Why take that away from new players? Yoshi's reasoning makes no sense to me. And that's fine. That's my opinion but, I don't think that's a wise one on his/SE's part.

All players react to twisters so it doesn't matter where they land, dreads you just lethargy and stun and they go down quickly now anyway.

Oh. I know how it works lol. The point I was making was the randomness. not whether it was hard or not. and yes, everyone reacts but it's still random. Dive bombs you KNOW you have to move every time you hear/see the mark for them. Twisters, Dreads, you have no idea where they will be or who they will target. That was the point I was making.

    short history

If you want to clear it, work for it and you may get more rewards than the loot of such raid. I will tell you my experience so far:

Been trying to clear t8 but it is hard to find people to learn the fight, i joined some of those pug and at first i did not have a clue of what was going on, even tho i checked some video guides out there, so in the end was a fail. So after 2 week of trying to find a group i took time i did some research, study the fight mechanics, asked friends out there for advices, make my own macro, decided with path to take, took more responsibility on each boss mechanics (main ballistic missile, clear mines, push tower) changes job to learn how Homming missiles work and stuff and even MT the boss. In the process i raided with many different people but as week passed by i was getting invites from the same pug players so we started working together, each step each week, and at the end we got all the clear... and a lot of new friends were added on my friend list.

But why does it matter if it's random?
