    This, This, This, This.

That's all there is to say, discussion over. The playerbase crying about difficulty is an extremely vocal minority that are asking the developers to nerf content because they can't clear it. Basically they are trying to wave their subscription in the dev teams face asking if they can buy a win to 2nd coil because they don't have the time or patience to play the game and clear it normally.

If you're so determined to bribe the devs with your subscription fee to change content, then why not instead farm gil in game and get a free company to sell a clear run to you? Honestly if you criticize people who buy runs of Primal Extremes or Turn 5, Etc, yet think you are Perfectly fine for asking the dev team to Nerf content in game because "you pay a monthly sub and your voice matters" then you are quite disconnected in your logic.

Also, 2nd coil clear runs will be selling for a lot cheaper with the echo buff coming in 2.4.

Tried. Ramuh ex is still around 2.5 mil on my server. Assuming second coil (with lockouts) is about 40 mil for 4-9, it will probably drop to around 25 mil for all turns, or like 7 mil a turn. This is ridiculous, when most people can barely afford a house.

My main past time on FFXIV is buying and selling, so I do have a bit of gil, but I probably would not drop 25 mil for some gear that might or might not be relevant to my class, when it is old content and should be playable by the non-hardcore raiders now.

YOU GUYS GET FINAL COIL. Is an entire new raid of 4 turns with the best gear, new visuals and cutscenes not good enough for you? Why will you need i110 items at that point?

You're probably going to get access to i120 and i130 gear, as well as a consistent 15% Echo Buff for each turn in coil. That is already a HUGE NERF to 2nd coil, Why do you really need more??????...

You didn't even fully read my post as I can tell. People will be selling 2nd coil runs ALOT cheaper come 2.4...

Also, it seems like you spend alot of time farming/crafting to make gil. You DO REALIZE that people spend MONTHS with a static trying to clear 2nd coil right? They deserve the win, because they spent time WORKING HARD to get their clear.

I am not sure how having 15% more damage and healing would stop many of the one-shot or wipe mechanics that exist in second coil. Especially in DF. My schedule is too erratic to allow for a static. Why do you need old content to remain relevant? Why would you need this i110 gear? I highly doubt that you and your static, or many statics at all, are going to set aside an hour or two every so often to get some old gear that you all probably already have when instead you could be learning or practicing final coil and Shiva Ex.

Also, in relation to your edit, I would think that nearly halfing the price of Second coil is a pretty big cost reduction, though still not so affordable. And yes, they do deserve it, they had BiS gear for months, along with all those bragging rights and gear. I am not sure why this is still relevant when there is new content with higher level gear and new BiS. A few months after final coil is out, I do not think anyone will be using any of their high allagan gear and probably not running second coil anymore. I am not sure why they would have to keep this silent achievement to themself (No titles, not wearing any gear, whatnot)

It really is not this though.

2K people is not the majority of FFXIV players. Including all areas of the forums here is probably similar if not more on certain days and over time.

Also as a loud guy and knowing they have a number of loud people at that event, it would only require 10% at most to make it sound like a majority of the already minority crowd.

Yes, because apparently most casuals will spend hundreds of dollars to go to Las Vegas for a convention and most hardcore players will not. Your argument is very very flawed, because only people who were that into the game would go to a convention, especially one held in one of the most expensive vacation spots in the USA. Casuals would not care for the game to that degree nor would pay that much money to head to said convention. No, this is just hardcore players booing at something they don't like.

Fan fest attracts all walks of people, do you think it's only the super elite hardcore players that go? Did you even watch the streams to see how varied the attendance was?

How many casuals would spend several hundred dollars to go to a convention in LAS VEGAS (very expensive area)? Not many. Hardcore players would without a doubt. Would you go to a comic book convention if you didn't care that much for what went on there?

That really depends on how you define hardcore vs casual.
Obviously you have to be into the game to want to go, but it certainly wasn't a "raiders only" event that you're implying. There were tons of people, from role players, to those dedicated about the lore, even a decent amount of casuals, and yes, even raiders. Did you not watch any of the streams? Any of the interviews of players during fan fest?
Just because you don't play a lot does not mean you're not dedicated to the game, likewise, just because you don't raid doesn't mean you aren't dedicated to the game either. If anything, what you're saying is pretty insulting to everyone, because you're generalising and essentially implying the only people that care enough about the game to visit something like Fan Fest are the raiders.
