Joined a random T7 PT few days ago on Phoenix because of various things came up by using PF (was months I didn't use PF...). Oneshot.
So, people blaming here are just lazy to learn. The whole server (active players) is doing SCOB lately (PF or static doesn't matter), people standing in cities doing nothing or logging just for EX and ST are just few.
This is the end game and you really need to move quickly or FFXIV will be always boring for you all, no one is going to give you clears (or you will need to pay FCs for that). : P

SCOB value will be zero in few days, be ready for FCOB and if you do not have a static, join PF parties or make one.

On a serious note, back in my old times as a player "#nostalgia-moment" when we wanted to get something done, we could spent 4-6 hours to build the proper team and then heading into the wild... We had to deal with every bad sides of "how to play with other" but the result, even if it wasn't working immediatly, was an huge gratification itself

People re lazy and mostly the new generation of players.
So to them I want to say : you need to pull out your fingers of your *** hole and make both hands availlable to play, aslong as your patience and determination. This isn't a smartphone game, if you want something in a mmorpg with serious end game contents then go work for it. No pain, no gain

A few noisy people don't make up for every hardcore raider either, I will agree with Krr that whenever the hardcore are vocal about anything on forums I always see the opposite happening in game.

Doesn't seem like those actually playing the game are agreeing with those who spend more time defending the hardcore pride on the forums than actually playing the game.

This is true about any mmo there is no incentive to help strangers unless you are profiting from it. If you go play FFXI now and need help with any of the 6 endgame delve zone bosses or lv99 arch angles expect to pay 20m per fight.

1ー 3.00am at night and you're looking for the PF. Otherwise, make a party yourself or shout in Mor Dhona/Cities , you will find someone for sure.
2ー It's a legacy server, it means lot of people already had full 50s jobs cause the powerlevel they had in 1.0 and crafts (hello eko/otto), they're supposed to do SCOB since months. Otherwise, switch server, there's a lot of them full of active players also at late night doing exp, SCOB and EX's.

Yes, they are: they have no idea all the pain we had to fill up a FFXI exp party (average 2-6 hours seeking / making a party by shouting + 30/40 min. to reach the camp and maybe just wiping around, losing exp by doing that) or to complete an offline old school J-RPG/RPG.

That's because always more people join videogames' world (even who never touched a gamepad or a keyboard) and software houses are making them easier and casual friendly for them.

I took the screengrab at around 5:00 PDT on a Tuesday - two hours ago, tops, when I logged in. I'm demonstrating the exploitative behavior of top-end raiders and cognitive dissonance with the attitudes they display in this thread, not the availability of groups. It's called the "Search for Party" filter and "not wanting to black out 8 other fluff ads to get a point across," hon.

The same people clamoring for SCoB nerfs are the same people still stuck on Twintania. This changes nothing because echo will not remedy Vines, Blighted, Sunshine, acid rain, Cursed Voice,/shriek, petrifaction, etc. Just like it didnt remedy divebomb or twister fails.
