I think you need to stop taking things so personally, just because somebody expresses their different opinion does not mean they're attacking you. Personally I did think you came up with some good points throughout your various posts, it's the ones that belittle people or entire groups of people that bother me. Everybody here is equal in my opinion and that will not change. Try not to take things personally because we are all just here defending out own opinions (and killing time at work).

So you don't like to debate others with a different point of view of things it has to be your views only and that it you must watch one of the other news channel I take it.

Well in my mind most of the people that go to an even like this have static and play all the time with only one main game.

I like to play all parts of games I get but I'm very laid back.
And playing the same content 200 times doesn't fit in what I would call fun.


So Nerfing old content is something I like, But I would sooner get stronger then Nerfing.

I'm pretty sure most casual players aren't going to attend a fanfest, and they're far from a minority when it comes to the population of an MMO like this one.

This is false and an assumption. There many casual there. Some for PvP, some for Cosplay, some who don't play much at all. Going to this event in no way had a hardcore prereq. In my group alone we had half of us out of 12 who don't play very much at all. They enjoy the game and their friends but are in no way hardcore.

One thing is true. Easy games don't last because they bore people. People wanting easy content keep wanting us to think of it from there perspective while gleefully falling to follow their own advice.

The same could be said of hard games, which is why there are no mainstream hard MMOs anymore.

I think this game does a good job of splitting the difference by having hard content and then making it easier over time as new hard content is added.

And yet no one here is asking to make it harder. Your point falls flat since plenty of people the difficulty as is and the way they slowly nerf old content. People wanting it easier aren't the only ones playing this game and it's a very small minority from my experiences. The biggest company I hear is the coil lock out. Not the difficulty.

I think Yoshi-P added a salvage coil to see if the hardcore players would bite, but since it didn't offer gear and the lockout was in place many didn't take the hook.

It was never intended for everyone and they knew itwouldn't heavily adopted. So I'm not sure what your point is. I know a bunch of people balmung challenging them because was fun. However that doesn't have anything to do with nerfing old content.

I'll say this a third time... One thing is true: If you don't ease up old content, you discourage new people from ever buying the game because it'll be that much harder to catch up. If you wall off current players and leave them stuck 20 item levels behind everyone else, it can be heavily discouraging.

They do this already via minor tweaks (ads paralyze), echo, and much stronger gear. So I guess you just ignore all of that.

SCoB will be obsolete in a week. It already isn't a challenge for anyone who has it on farm (and a lot of those people only log on one day a week to coil anyway). Those players will be busy tackling FCoB and getting way better gear anyway. This is just how theme park games work.

No it won't be obsolete in a week. Many players who never tackled it can do it with their friends, people can gear their side classes, and until at least a month passes people still will have very little of the new gear. Obsolete is the first coil the months ago. This is still quite relevant for many people. Think outside of your box.

SE isn't making it easier because people asked them to. It's something they planned to do with content since before ARR launched. Any time they talk about making coil easier they don't say "Lots of people asked us to do this", they say "The clear rates are unsatisfactory so we're going to add echo and make changes until the clear rates are where we'd like them to be".

Keep ignoring all the stuff they do too make it easier like echo, new gear, and minor mechanics tweaks. I'm sure that will continue make you're point stronger.
