chococbo training help

hey

Just a quick question, if I want to make Syklis bud my chocobos favourite food, do I feed him it at the start and finish of training? or do I use a krakka root first then Syklis bud after?

wiki not much help what krakka roots actually do?

Players can train only once an hour. I think just keep using the desired food.
Krakka root just for EXP, no side effect ^^;
