what kind of mentality you need to have to defend a in game cash shop on a sub based mmo?.
how is posible that poeple think is ok, it dosnt matter if it is pay to win or just cosmetic stuff, that thing belongs on a free to play mmo, this is the most disrespectful thing you can do to your player base, and is a shame because i love the game, this is a spit in the face and im not suporting it, im not gonna resub.
haha...find me a sub mmo game that doesnt have cash shop pls
Something we put our money, time and emotions into is not a meaningless pastime. It never ceases to amaze me...
If this is something that is truly disrupting your ability to enjoy the game, on either side of this petty and ridiculous argument, you have serious problems that need to be addressed.
I'll try and explain this, nice and slow... ready?
IT'S. JUST. A. VIDEO. GAME.
I you are incapable of having fun, if this is preventing you from enjoying a meaningless pass time (by the way, that's all this is: a meaningless pass time), you are doing it wrong.
If you don't like it, fine! You're entitled to your opinions. But, for the love of all that is pointless and entertaining, learn to accept what you don't like and focus on what you do!
Look at all these people that have come to fanfest. Is this meaningless pastime to them, when they're so happy and passionate about the game?
LOL
SW:TOR devs also said that their shop wouldn't be pay to win and vanity only. A couple years later, their shop sells exclusive content unlocks and much, much more than just vanity. Well whatever. Once FF14 becomes just like SW:TOR I'll start looking for another game.
Blizzard is double dipping since a long time, and no one cares.
All this "xx friends unsubbed because of this" isnt threatening at all, people always get upset over things they dont like and the next day, they are all like "meh, whatever".
When a company needs to fund a product that you are indeed paying for, why hate em for that? This store is something you will never have to look at or care about. I defend this idea because I want the game I play to have money to produce more content. I don't know if you actually play the game, but vanity items mean nothing, at all. Let the business make their money in peace.what kind of mentality you need to have to defend a in game cash shop on a sub based mmo?.

Brynhilder leader of Blood is Power! Where would I be without the family I call my FC and the brothers and sisters in my static? Well, not making amazing memories and just having a good old time would be my first guess. This game is amazing.
I don't mind it. If it helps support the game I encourage the more wealthy players to go crazy.
Coils is OPTIONAL content too. Doesnt need to be done to advance in the main story. Should they start charging extra for end game raids? Believe it or not poeple play mmos for different reasons and find enjoyment in different things. Because something doesnt effect you doesnt mean it doesnt effect anybody.Wow some people are looking way too into this... it's entirely OPTIONAL, buying OPTIONAL VANITY ITEMS is a choice that's completely UP TO THE PLAYER! You're not FORCED to purchase anything! Let alone anything that will affect progression!
Don't like it? DON'T BUY IT! It's so damn simple!
Dont want to pay extra for coil? Then DONT BUY IT! Its OPTIONAL after all.
What you're playing is a video game but what you are paying for, that's VERY important because it involves money, is a service. You are paying for a service. This service includes access to the game.
It's quite clear that there are people now unhappy with the service being provided with the money they are paying.
