You know, here I am getting all bent out of shape about this Cash Shop and really...you're dead on. It's unavoidable, like bemoaning about Cell Phones and the Internet. It's the way it works now. Is it still a quality game? Yes. Still good, cool people playing it? Yep. Its not the end of Eorzea, this game is still a baby after all. Thanks for the baking soda on this grease fire.

Same here guys. I've just wrapped my head around it, and learnt to accept it. It seems the popular thing to do nowadays. Everything has DLC content, even with single player games and whatnot. I know it isn't the same, but I've got over it now. I'm hoping they give us really nice vanity designs in the cashshop.

I have a feeling the cash shop will expand to include the following:

1. Golden Saucer tokens
2. Triple Triad card packs - random packs you open hoping to get that one card you are missing.
3. Chocobo raising and racing
4. Personal Houses?! lol..
5. Relic weapon glow dyes (I'd probably sink my cash into this one though tbh)

Yes I am. People buy anew phone because a new one comes out with new features that the old one didn't have. More powerful, more memory more features. It's a new product.

This is not new. People are happily gonna pay them money for the same exact thing we had before for free and even the people that don't buy now have something that their subscription few doesn't get them. So they downgrade our subscription and still some have no problem with this just kuz other games have done this too.

Getting screwed is getting screwed, I don't care who does it, I'm not gonna happily take it from all angles because it's somehow the norm on other games

You're dealing with a group of gamers who are fanatical in their devotion to this development team. I expected people to rabidly back SE on their decision to water down the meaning of our Subscription cost. Doesn't mean I'll sit back and take it though. My sub is up in march. I'll play until I either get bored or it runs out whichever comes first. I refuse to pay to play and then double dip with a cash shop. F*ck that!

Wether people were tempted into buying it or not it is a new product with new features that made it different and better then the previous one that they otherwise would not have any other way. No ones handing you a phone every year for free.

In this case we would normally get these items at no extra cost

This isn't even comparable. One is an entirely new product that has been upgraded and you would not have because it's a single purchase item.
These items in game were obtainable in game, included in our monthly subscription and nothing is changed about them.

The point of being tempted into buying either a phone or these items has nothing to do with this. This argument is based on facts. The simple fact that we had something before and now we have to pay more to get what we had access to before

It's exactly that. I don't understand why some people are so insistent in pulling their pants down and spreading their cheeks when they didn't have to before. It really baffles me.
