Jerks can be right too.
Having a fight diluted is a shame for players who get into the game later, as they aren't able to experience the fight as it was in its heyday. It's not fun to beat a watered-down fight.
Coil is not a part of the main scenario. A player can do everything else without doing coil because it's technically a side story.
For players who can't beat coil but want to experience the side story, the devs have mentioned that they are working on a "story coil".
If a nerf is so players can get to the newest coil, well, what business do they have there? They won't be able to handle the newest coil if they can't handle the old ones.
OBJECTION! My raid just stared and formed 2 months ago 6 of the player has no t7 to 9 experience and let alone my white Mage was been carried by us so she can go second coil as our static white Mage and her first time t5 was a success yes she got carried but you saying they can't handle new coil is false because my raid is doing fine they just need more time to learn but restricting new player from new coil is not user friendly so they don't have to go through all the trouble gearing to i110 just to clear old content
You forgot that for each turn of SCoB there will have some sort of ilvl requirement to join, so you can't just gear out a fresh i90 to i110 in a couple of days.OBJECTION! I swear I do not see a single period in that post of yours.OBJECTION! You say that your group just needs time to learn.
However, that has nothing to do with nerfing content. 2nd coil will still be there regardless of whether or not the fights are nerfed. You will have all the time in the world to practice it, especially with lockouts out of the way.
There is no "trouble" gearing to i110, as soldiery is going to be uncapped, making i110 trivial to obtain. If anything, you will be higher than i110 with the new tomestone gear. (Not that 2nd coil can't be beaten with gear well under i110 anyway.)
That said, this part of your argument comes off as strange to me because it appears you are saying that gearing to i110 is trouble, so players should be able to complete 2nd coil with a lower ilvl than that, so they can enter the newest coil which actually is designed for ilvl 110+?

That looks strange, it seems I'm still doing old content. The top tier raiders are bored to tears. My friends and I have been having fun doing what we've dubbed 'Terror Queue', where we go in with a partial party to old content (TitanX, T5, etc.) and see if we're able to carry and get people their first clears.
Spoilers: GarudaX is harder than TitanX or T5 to do in DF. Imagine that!
In my opinion, I think it's more about relating to other players with the things you/they struggled with in the game.
Changing old content means the old and new players cannot relate to each other about the content they have cleared, only because they are not the same content, and are only similar by name.
It's the same argument people of older generations have with the newer generations of people. Older generation enjoyed the difficult work/effort it took to accomplished something for a reward, and the newer generations don't want to put in effort but wanted the same rewards.
