They don't recogonize the killer that is Queen's Gate: Spiral Chaos! SE is FINISHED I say!!I'm confused. Which game is bringing the downfall of XIV this week? So far, since release, it's been WoW:Cataclysm, Rift, TERA, Diablo III, GW2, and SW:ToR. Cataclysm came out, XIV is still here. Rift came out, XIV is still here. Can you haters make up your mind, so we all know what to tag threads with?

Half those games, have not even launched, and Cataclysm did leave FFXIV where it is now, wish is nowhere in the MMO map.I'm confused. Which game is bringing the downfall of XIV this week? LMAO! No man, that couldnt be further from the truth. Poor game design, a premature launch, and shitty UI left this game where it is now. People just switched back to WOW after the fact.
Haters can always suck a pickle. I don't feel like investing any more money on a game, and I don't want to start over a third time! I'm with this till Jesus comes back or I lose internet / electric.I'm confused. Which game is bringing the downfall of XIV this week? I think FFXIV attracts a different audience from games like D3. Honestly FFXIV's strength will be as a console MMO. Further its story-heavy while D3 is more about grinding than it is about in depth stories.
I think Star Wars will be its main testing ground. Its similar to FF as it is a story-heavy mmo, and it seems to be better in almost all aspects. If FFXIV is still successful after that i think it will be fine.
Mew!

Diablo 3 will undoubtedly pull players away.
Causing FFXIV to fail?
Nahh.
No. For most people FFXIV doesn't even exist. They have years to fix this, and they probably just consider us alpha testers because we're testing their new systems for them.
The game will get new previews, a new box, and people will forget that it was released as a heaping pile of 1/10th of the way digested food. [and yes, that was a reference to the only 10% of the game in beta]

I personally would not play diablo 3. But games like Tera do interest me.
I came back after a roughly 4 month or so, the UI did indeed improve a bit making it easier to play but the battle system still seems very unresponsive (I play a conjurer). Whenever I cast spells it doesn't seem to react immediately according to what I cast or when I wanna switch quickly between spells and normal range atk, it just won't react for me. Maybe I just suck at fighting or it just simply react very slow.
However, in general, it hasn't make me wanna come back to the game very much other than looking at pretty graphics and perhaps the instance quest which makes it no different than any typical rpg.

Not interested in Diablo III or Terra Online. I will stick to FFXIV, since I know it is going to get better and better with every single patch. The only thing I hate right now is that I can not seem to find a proper, active linkshell. As long as I can fix that problem I will be around for the next few years.

This. If FFXIV's gonna die. It won't be becuase of Diablo3. And thats coming from a HUGE fan of the Diablo series, and many Blizzard games.
But if they truly like FF, they will stick around to see hows this game turns out.
I myself will probably quit playing FFXIV for quite awhile when I get a Diablo3 beta invite (PLEASE!) or at release, but you bet I'll come back to this game when it's nice and flushed out. By then PS3 release might be here, and a flood of new players will be here and kicking.![]()
